Frequently Asked Questions
Depending on the size of your project and the number of products we are estimating for in your estimation, you can expect to have your calculations and 3D graphics back between 7 to 10 days.
The accuracy of our brick and block calculations is excellent. Although this is only an estimate, we have calculated it mathematically to bring your brick and block count as close as possible to the required amount.
The quantity provided is an estimate based solely on the architectural plans submitted. It is not a final or guaranteed figure and should not be used as a definitive order quantity.
No. Your free estimation will only include the number of bricks required for the build. This estimate does not include allowances for wastage, cutting, breakage, or on-site adjustments.. The industry standard is 5% wastage. This will need to be added at the time you place your order with a supplier. If you need further assistance with this, please contact your assigned rep, whose contact details will be on your estimation results.
At MD Brick, our Free estimation service will count the number of bricks and/or blocks in your building project.

We will provide you with a quote for the specified quantities already on your plans.
For Windows: Our quote will be for the supply of Bradnams windows
For Fibre Cement: Our quote will be for Innova Fibre Cement
For Lintels: We may need to contact you before quoting lintels, as we will want to confirm if you need galvanised or concrete lintels
All our other products can also be estimated for your project with a little more detail required – ie. size of paver required, material wanted, heights of walls and sizes and finish of blocks required. These products will not be part of your free Take Off, but can be organised for you on request.

Your results will have the contact details of an MD Brick Sales Manager assigned to you. You are welcome to call your sales manager for any questions you may have regarding your results.

We would love to help you purchase your project materials at MD Brick. This service is provided free of charge and is non-binding. You are not obligated to purchase from MD Brick. However, once you have the number of bricks and blocks or other building and landscaping materials, you can contact MD Brick and place an order for your building materials.

All calculations are based on the accuracy and completeness of the plans submitted. Incomplete, outdated/updated, or unclear plans may result in inaccuracies.
Project Changes
If your project plans are revised or updated after your estimate has been provided, please request a new estimate. Previous estimates may no longer be accurate or valid.
MD Brick takes no responsibility for over-ordering or under-ordering based on the estimate. A qualified builder or bricklayer should always confirm final quantities before ordering.
Exclusions
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, estimates do not include mortar, reinforcement, accessories, or any other associated products.
MD Brick reserves the right to decline any estimate request at our discretion, including where plans are incomplete, unreadable, or outside our supply scope.
If we think your project is too big for our free estimating service, we will contact you within 24 hours of submitting your plans to let you know.
