Redcor – Weathering Steel/ Corten Steel

This steel develops a protective rust patina within 4–16 weeks of exposure, offering a warm, rustic aesthetic that matures over time. 
Ideal for garden beds, mulch or turf barriers, tree rings, paths, and low retaining walls. Redcor complements green foliage beautifully and reduces maintenance—abrasions heal naturally as the patina re‑forms. 
Available across all eight profile heights and steel gauges in the Shapescaper range.

Zinmag Steel

Developed by a large Japanese corrosion research and development team and tested by the French corrosion institute, ZINMAG was engineered for the automotive industry and designed for countries with the harshest weather conditions.

ZINMAG coating is a mixture of Zinc, aluminium and magnesium. ZINMAG works particularly well in marine environments and is compatible with cement-based products.

ZINMAG is around half the price of stainless and almost 95% as efficient. ZINMAG has 3 times greater corrosion resistance than galvanised steel.

ZINMAG edging has a high glossy satin finish and is very compatible with other landscape materials. ZINMAG will stand the test of time and have your home and garden looking bright and sleek for life.

Life Cycle

Redcor® patina life cycle requires cycles of wet/dry conditions; full stabilisation typically takes 2–3 years. Minor hue variations are natural and not covered under warranty.

10-Year Structural Warranty

The 10-Year Structural Warranty is valid across all finishes—but will be void if installed within 1 km of a saltwater coastline, if installation instructions are not followed, or if product is subject to undue mechanical or chemical stress.

Protective Coating

For installations where Redcor is in contact with damp soil, a protective coating (e.g. bitumen paint or epoxy mastic) is recommended to extend lifespan (though not mandatory for warranty).
